Hugo Léveillé is a VFX Supervisor at FOLKS, with nearly two decades of experience in the visual effects industry. He began his professional career in 2006, working on 300 by Frank Miller, after honing his skills through personal projects and a short course in Apple's Shake.

Since then, Hugo has supervised visual effects on numerous projects, including Interview with the Vampire, Metal Lords, Retribution, Shipworm, and The Naughty Nine. His work spans a variety of genres, from television to feature films, showcasing his versatility and creative problem-solving skills.

Before joining FOLKS, Hugo worked as a Visual Effects Supervisor at MELS, where he contributed to a wide range of films and TV series, such as Fatherhood, The Unholy, and X-Men: Dark Phoenix. He has also supervised several high-profile projects, including Cerebrum, Superpower Dogs, and A Colony, among others.

Hugo’s work has earned him several accolades, including a Canadian Screen Award for Achievement in Visual Effects in 2018 for his role as compositing supervisor on Hochelaga, Land of Souls. He was also nominated at the 2023 Hollywood Professional Association Awards for Outstanding Supporting Visual Effects for Interview with the Vampire, and at the 2025 Children’s & Family Emmy Awards for Outstanding Visual Effects for a Live Action Program for The Naughty Nine.

With a strong background in problem-solving and an ability to find creative solutions that balance budget with high-quality visuals, Hugo is known for his collaborative approach and positive team environment. His ability to work closely with directors to bring their vision to life while optimizing production value makes him an invaluable asset to any project.
