Andrea Espinal is the Head of Studio at FOLKS Bogotá, with over 20 years of industry experience. A key figure in the growth of Colombia’s VFX industry, she has played a major role in expanding its presence on the global stage.

Andrea began her career in 2004, working on television commercials in Colombia before moving to Canada in 2009, where she transitioned into compositing.

After gaining experience abroad, she returned to Colombia to lead FOLKS Bogotá. Under her direction, the office has contributed to various productions, including One Hundred Years of Solitude, Bandidos, The Recruit, Lioness (Seasons I and II), Pedro Páramo, Women in Blue, A Deadly Invitation, Savage Rhythm, 1923 (Seasons I and II), and 1883.

Andrea combines her organizational skills with a passion for innovation, always seeking fresh ideas and references to enhance storytelling. Her dedication to delivering high-quality work on time has earned her a reputation for both creativity and reliability in the industry.
