Alexandre Lafortune is a VFX Supervisor at FOLKS. With over two decades of experience in visual effects, Alexandre has worked across advertising, television, and feature films, bringing a deep understanding of both 3D and compositing to every project. His career began with a transition from fine art to digital technology in the early days of CGI, mastering tools like Softimage/XSI and 2D compositing software to become a versatile artist.
As a VFX Supervisor, Alexandre has led projects such as Descendants: The Rise of Red, Beau Is Afraid, and Shadow and Bone. His extensive credits also include Arrival, Sicario, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, and Men in Black: International. His work on Arrival was recognized among the top 10 contenders for the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects.
Alexandre takes a hands-on approach to VFX supervision, ensuring that every shot serves the story while staying open to creative evolution throughout production.
